Morning Brew recently featured Hiddenfjord salmon in a segment at New York City’s Fulton Fish Market, highlighting its presence at Blue Ribbon Fish and in Chef Eric Ripert’s three-Michelin-starred restaurant Le Bernardin. The coverage reinforces Hiddenfjord’s reputation for supplying premium salmon trusted by top chefs in the world’s most competitive culinary settings.

In an effort to reduce CO2, we have introduced two electric buses to transport employees to and from our production facility in Sørvágur.

Today marks 1,500 days since Hiddenfjord eliminated all air freight for our salmon distribution. By switching exclusively to sea freight, we have reduced our CO₂ emissions for overseas transportation by 94%. This reduction is equivalent to saving over 300,000 metric tons of CO₂—the same amount absorbed by approximately 5 million trees over 10 years*.

In recent months, Hiddenfjord has had the privilege of attending some of the world's most prestigious seafood trade shows, showcasing our premium salmon products.

Hiddenfjord has achieved the maximum BAP four-star designation following certification of our freshwater facility, Fútaklettur.

In February, members of our sales team attended the Fish International Fair in Bremen, Germany. In March, we attended the annual SENA in Boston, USA. 

In January, our US sales team participated at the Fancy Food Show in Las Vegas to enhance brand recognition and seek business opportunities.

The expo served as a platform for Hiddenfjord's sales staff to engage with customers in the region, which is renowned for its appetite for high-quality seafood products.  

This week, we celebrate our decision to ship our salmon exclusively by sea, saving an estimated 200,000mt of CO2 over the past three years.

The event offered us a platform to forge valuable connections while highlighting our commitment to farming salmon in harmony with nature.
